College Radio Watch: College Radio Symposium at University of Virginia and More News

On March 17, I’ll be speaking at the WTJU/WXTJ-hosted symposium “College Radio: Then, Now, and Next” at the University of Virginia. Specifically, I’ll touch on the history of college radio as well as the state of college radio today. I’m excited to connect with friends, colleagues, and representatives from other college radio stations and am anticipating some lively discussions about my favorite topic. I hope to see some of you at the symposium.

Additionally, I look forward to visiting as many college radio stations in Virginia as I can squeeze into my packed schedule. By my count, there are at least 21 college radio stations in Virginia. As of this writing, I’ve only visited one of them (Tour #87 – WGMU at George Mason University), so I have my work cut out for me!
