I’m having a great time immersing myself in all things college radio while in Philadelphia this week for the College Broadcasters Inc. conference. Visiting college radio stations is always a priority and I never miss an opportunity to pop by my alma mater, Haverford College, to continue with my ongoing research about the history of student radio on campus. As an added bonus, I gave a talk there on Wednesday, sharing kernels of Haverford College radio lore.
The Philadelphia area is really a hot bed for college and high school radio history and I was pleased to discover that the Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia has put together a synopsis of historical highlights from student radio stations in the area.
