Radio greetings from the Valencia Street fair in San Francisco

I wandered about the “Sunday Streets” Valencia Street Fair in San Francisco yesterday,  and quickly ran into the Radio Valencia booth, where those denizens of the FM deep were holding forth: Malderor and Dr. Junk (that’s Malderor on the left in the photo below; Dr. Junk on the right; Dr. Sleepless in the middle).

Radio Valencia on Valencia Street

Malderor and company are among my favorite Radio Valencia bloggers (it’s great that Radio Valencia has so many doctors, BTW). Here’s another shot from the booth:

I asked Malderor where the group’s famous martinis were. “We figured martinis wouldn’t work while we were setting up,” he explained. A very prudent response.

Sorry  I missed Radio Valencia’s DJ McSchmormack of the Gramaphoney Baloney show, who did a Trinidadian recording set in the studios, then a live set on Valencia Street.

“Saw you at the sunday streets today,” he later wrote. Next time say hello!

Radio Valencia will be celebrating it’s second anniversary on August 11th. It’s been an amazing two years. Thanks for all of your support.
