On Saturday, May 8th new community radio station KPDO 89.3 FM launched in Pescadero, California, in a rural community halfway between San Francisco and Santa Cruz.

As I wrote a few weeks ago, the station is being run by Daniel Roberts who is also at the helm of Pirate Cat Radio in San Francisco.

I was excited to be on the scene at KPDO for their coming out party on the 8th.

I got the chance to talk to Daniel about the station, tour the facilities, and catch some pretty amazing bands across a wide range of genres.

To see my complete station tour, take a look at my post on Spinning Indie.
