On WNUR the DJ on the 4 - 7 PM Rock Show shift played a few Michael Jackson songs upon hearing the news last Thursday, and immediately she was deluged with calls. So the show ended up being mostly an impromptu Michael Jackson tribute as requests kept flooding in.

One problem the DJ faced was that WNUR has almost no Michael Jackson CDs or records, given the station's focus on indie rock and non-mainstream music. So she turned to the internet and YouTube to find songs she could stream.

It's certainly not something an automation system could have done.
